RE: Using ZTE AC8700 in Mac
hI,
just got evdo yesterday. For Mac OSX Leopard, how to know the hardware id of the evdo ( AC8700 ) Detected in System Profiler as ZTE CDMA Tech ( under USB ) MY pID SAYS 0x3197 MY vID SAYS 0x05c6 Do I still use the script you mentioned or do I change it? Thanx in advance, Sundance (05-29-2008 02:57 PM)veagles Wrote: Guests cannot see links in the messages. Please register in our forum for free by clicking here to see links.Ok. Here is a different approach. This method is dead easy compared to the previous one. All you need to do is run a shell script. If you have installed the pl2303 drivers, then remove them before you proceed. Hello, I installed using the Install.sh script. The device shows up in System Profiler as ZTE cdma under USB. However when I open Network Preferences and try adding the device, it does not show up in the list of connections. My Product ID - 0x3197 My Vendor id - 0x05c6 Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks Sundance. (05-29-2008 02:57 PM)veagles Wrote: Guests cannot see links in the messages. Please register in our forum for free by clicking here to see links.Ok. Here is a different approach. You need to change the hardware id in the script.

Hi veagles,
I cannot see the pictures you post. Can you post those pictures again? (06-02-2008 08:38 AM)veagles Wrote: Guests cannot see links in the messages. Please register in our forum for free by clicking here to see links. The list which you have shown is a list of modem scripts that are present in your mac. A modem script is used to dial a modem. It is NOT a list of installed modem drivers. You are not supposed to look here. |
