The guys down at BSNL have no clue on how to calculate the bill. I have been down there with my friend to fix his Broadband bill twice, they charged him Rs. 18,000 Guests cannot see images in the messages. guys my first bill was 1504. the three month advance or what i dont know. i had actually opted for 750 per month unlimited thing....so it should be 2200 something....and then after the second i get 504 bill n yesterday i.e a month after that 504 bill i get 506. i wanted to know how it is done......plz reply...thanx in advance

On the bill, you can check out that the details are mentioned in the miscellaneous charges for optional services. It will give u the dates for which the bill is charged. In case u are charged less, you may still be in that old cdma 1x plan.

Shocking!

Damn guys, i took ev-do connection in Feb and I had paid 1k+(for 3 months) at that time. Now, that I have got reconfigured my EDVO card 2 months back... again they have sent me a bill of 2250(+tax). Its showing the period as Aug-Oct(3 months) ...

Is it usual or shud i be bothering about BSNL billing system now????

when i did the change from 1x to EVDO, i got the same shocking results. i called up the billing section in bangalore ->

Not sure which one got conected, but u may need to try all as they are always busy :-). Surprisingly they asked about the user number(ur number starting with 2013....) and admitted the mistake. they corrected the mistake and asked me to take a duplicate the Customer service center.

Apparently their billing is done by third party. I cant believe that theycan mess up even a unlimited plan. Just think about how much discrepancy would come into normal phone billing :-)

Also my signal drops to 1X when logged in even though I get full evdo signal before logging on.

I stay in bangalore and get jalahalli signal.

i suggest everyone who has got such a bill to first call up the billing section. They will deduct the extra amount. They will do it because its an unlimited connection. They cant charge more than that.

About the signal problem, did u reconfigure it? Maybe EVDO is not being provded from the BTS in that area?

from the day I purchased the device I used to get the evdo signal. its just from last one week am I getting the 1X signal. this happens both in windows as well as linux. I have to talk to the tech support for that and their numbers are always busy

Even I get Jalahalli signal, and even am not able to get EVDO from past few days.. Its really time to frag those guys Guests cannot see images in the messages. I think its time to give a visit to jalahalli extension on tuesday.. lets see what happens...

Also, its usual that the first month's bill is heavy. Even they charged me a hell lota amount (around 1.6k) for CDMA 1x, its obvious that u got 2.2k for EVDO.

After settling the first month's bill, you get 750 Rs + tax = around 850 Rs every month. And also, most often most users wont receive bill on time every month. So they keep using it until two to three months, and later BSNL will disconnect their connection and if we call the CC, they say we haven't payed the bill from past three months (though we haven't received the bills)..

After I made a small query, I came to know that EVDO billing has become a hassle right now.. so what I do is, will go to exchange on 10th of every month, get a duplicate bill and will pay it..
