hii.there is nothing problem with the card.......srength of signal which in thaverekere is not as strong as signal available in ramapuram.........actually all towers which are in chennai are in testing stage so one cannot judge the speed as of now.......further your area may have huge builidings,trees,etc....which will restrict the signal strength.......better try some extension cable method ( one of our friend Mr.ramili had given a very nice detailed description about this method you can find that in forum).....test your device keeping it in different location

With Best Regards
tksree

Thanks Abhi.

I have checked the link, after my post and it worked well. Always I am having the ( bad ) habit of checking twice any links provided and the whole contents of my post both in " preview " mode and after " post reply " mode.

Now again, I have edited the same post, with link repeated again. You can notice both look alike. I will delete the error one, after your visit.

Thanks once again Abhi. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register in our forum for free by clicking here to see images.

Hi tksree,

After using this USB Extn cable, you will notice improvement, in the average speed level. The next stage, to get more stable speed, is trying antennas / boosters.

Quote: my post # 22 in thread # 1370 " evdo card prices going to drop to 2500 rupees....."

Fluctuation is inseparable from EV-DO cards, unless you are using some signal boosters or Cantennas or Yagi antennas etc.

If you are living, at Line Of Sight place without any obstructing building, you will be LUCKY and don't need these things.( I am planning to test with Cantenna, but will take some time. )

EVDO card connected speed..... like traveling in Unreserved coaches ( more passengers limited comfort. Only sometimes it will be less crowded or free ).

Wired ( Land line ) BBand .... like traveling in Reserved coaches ( limited passengers more comfort ).

Is the cable, you bought with Ferrite filter ?
