I'm from Cochin. I was talking to a guy in BSNL who's in charge of the EVDO section. I asked him about the Port Forwarding & the private shared ip problem.
He said there is only 1 quick way of solving this. Make the users complain as much as possible in writing to the BSNL main office in their cities. Only then will it be taken as major national issue in the BSNL corporate office. Then only will they enable the dynamic ip system & port forwarding.
The problem now is that only 1 or 2 users have complained in Cochin about these issues, so they are unable to take it as a major issue. Thats why the problem is still existing.
