my experience with bsnl evdo(CHENNAI)

hi guys,

i bought this connection yesterday morning, by the time i reached home from office it got activated. The device cost is 3640 Rs, with monthly rent of 550 Rs. I bought this connection in chennai. In 1hr they gave me the connection with submission of 1 photo and address proof. I am staying at kodambakkam. I am getting max speed of 512 kbps. I enquired with the tech team of bsnl, they said that they are installing more no of towers in chennai. by the end of Jan we may expect good signal.

one big tip change the connection settings to evdo, default will be hybrid.

im here in tharamani and im getting good speed (around 60 KBps) most of the time

i bought my device in trichy and works fine in hybrid mode here but when im in chennai the device only connects when i change it to evdo mode any idea why that is?

sorry to say this i got the device a month before and the device price is 3500 but i purchase it for rental 550+200 and i'm near to tambaram i'm getting max speed of 1.5 some times even 1.8 mbps......Guests cannot see images in the messages.
