I got my bill till july and they have charged me till 31st july a some of 761 [10days June + 550 july]

I just learned from a BSNL source at Model Colony exchange that the tariff of Rs. 550/month for old customer will continue till Dec 09. After that they will be forced to Rs. 650/month along with Roaming. If somebody wants to get the roaming activated in between Jul and Dec. then the new tariff (Rs. 650) will be applicable from the date of activation.

She also added that activating the roaming requires the device has to be "reconfigured" and then the device's number will be of 10 digit.

I am just guessing that if somebody gets his device reconfigured, we can use his PRL to do it on our own.

Can anybody confirm that the old customer cannot get roaming without paying increased rent atleast till Dec 09 ?

I have been using evdo service from the begining. my no. is of ten digits from the date of activation!!

I am from Guwahati, And I have been using Evdo since april 2009, my plan is 550/- (Dont know when it will increase to 650/-). And I have 7digit no 2036xxx, but it becomes 10 digit wen added with std code 3612036xxx

But currently I am on roaming to Kolkata (Behala area), My BSNL EVDO not working here. Can anyone help me with possible causes.
1. is not working because of 550/- per month?
2. or Evdo doesnt work in Kolkata?

without reconfiguration you could not use EVDO in roaming.. go to the exchange where you bought the card.. apply to the officer for roaming facility.. they'll reconfigure it.. Good luck friend!

Evdo coverage now in Amravati , Maharashtra has been started. however the speed is average.

Having EVDO since May'09. Got my Sept'09 & Oct'09 for my 7-digit EVDO number @550/- per month.
Upgraded my old 7-digit number to 10-digit (9684xxxxxx) number in Nov'09 and EVDO device updated for National Roaming from BSNL Nagpur office. Awaiting my bill for the month of Nov'09, to check whether monthly bill is @550/-? Anyone encountered a similar situation.

Got my November 2009 bill, and its 550/- + taxes.
And reconfigured my device (updated the prl file) for roaming, and currently it is working.
