hi
bsnl still not provide evdo in all over kolkata juridiction. as such the customer of bsnl data card are bound to get 1x connection. as such the overall data access speed is worst. i use this data card since feb,2009 and hoping to launch the evdo service. as i purchase the data card so it is my headach. i recomend every one not to purchase data card, untill bsnl provide evdo service in your area. the evdo service when and how will be available, only god can tell you. |

You are right, I got this EVDO Data card back in April 2009 from Dumdum Exchange. I am receiving 15~40kbps download & 3~15kbps download speed. In fact its Evdo data card but it is CDMA (1X) service that they are providing for Rs 200 and modem rental 100. Check the link Guests cannot see links in the messages. I got this connection and knew the fact just when I went to exchange to get my account activated. I asked for 2.4 mbps migration scheme @ Rs. 650/- per month, but the service is only for Rajarhat, Newtown and elsewhere in kolkata it is just 144kbps.
