Demo is not possible,, my opinion is since EVDO available, data plans is useless.. but voice based plans it is very good.. As license fee is expensive plans charges also reflect it.. So only the business peoples who has the deep pockets can afford it..

its any possible of demo testing in my area with evdo card is possible.. one think i like to known that evdo speed was 3.1mbps amd 3g speed also same 3.1mbps....why they charging more in 3g ....since 3g is costly every one will prefer only evdo so it will be heavy loss for goverment only and evdo connection is much superior than the 3g hspda connection..so why bsnl is not taking any action to launch evdo like tata-photon plus and reliance netconnect plus they both offer same 3.1mbps speed in chennai.....for 550rs monthly bsnl evdo unlimited every one will choos bsnl evdo connection instead of tata nd reliance.one of the forum in ths section sayed that if you have a wired broadband connection in you home will be getting rs 250 as discount in evdo connectiom is it true...........

So far EVDO has been using available spectrum(allotted to CDMA) but Trai has objected to BSNL 's EVDO stating EVDO is 3 G and BSNL EVDO is illegal.. That was two years ago... that is why BSNL stopped/slow down the tower installation.. BSNL arguement is EVDO don't need any additional spectrum..But TATA and Reliance who are late in the game jumped in the zone upgrading their BTS.., TRAI has not stated whether their services is illegal..Thus BSNL again starting to work on EVDO.. they have alredy has the 3 G license but TATA and Reliance not.. but so far TRAI is silent on this matter...For some reasons TRAI and DOT is putting many hurdles for bsnl in this matter..further EVDO don't need any additional spectrum so the cost of license fee is saved and it reflect on the plans charges.. but 3G is costly for Spectrum charges , installation cost maintenance there are more reasons to add.. so when the Cost for the services calculated plans charges usually on larger side
If BSNL goes more interested on EVDO than the customers may change to EVDO only in such case 3G may not economical for BSNL

That is the reason why BSNL don't marketing the EVDO neither promoted.. even the latest activation on the part of BSNL is the realisation if it doesn't act now it will lose this market to the rival...
Another note:if you are having EVDO enabled mobile phone, you can availed the same 3 G services of the GSM, at moderate rate..VIDEO calls,video conferencing,data services, on line gaming,mobile TV.. there are lot of more possibilities.. Since only four operators can be allotted spectrum, other operators will take EVDO services on thir CDMA network and at very cheap moderate rates..This surely kill 3 G services on GSM..so BSNL backup plan is EVDO will marketed inlieu of 3 G at that time

while reading one of the forum in this site ...some one has sayed that if you have a broadband connection in your home you can also avail evdo with some discount for evdo connection if your broadband bill is more than RS.500 and the monthly bill of evdo would be 300 or 350rs...is it true

The offer is available in Bangalore(300 rs for a span of 1 year)..Not sure about the rest of the country..
