This is a nice little tip.

I wonder how someone could come up with something so ghetto and yet so outta-the-box like this! It definitely helps me get that elusive 4th bar of signal strength. This is so easily verifiable. As soon as I take the CD off my antenna, signal strength drops to 3bars. Put the CD back on, and voila! 4 bars!

Speeds, however, are a different matter. I am not so confident that speeds improve after popping the CD on, because the speed graph is inherently unstable and always fluctuating - with or without the CD.

In any case, it's a valuable little hack, it gives me the warm-and-cozy feeling of seeing my signal strength maxed out to 4 bars Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register in our forum for free by clicking here to see images.

its because either the connector is bit loose or the hub is not receiving sufficient power required.

hey this is cool dude... i was getting up to 20 kbps in IDM download..but now 80 kbps is minimum on it..i got up to 112kbps download speed at night... this method ROXXX...

Hats off to u Gigacore.It helped me alot.I used to get 1 bar signal witha speed of 200-400kbps and now i am gettin 2 bars to 3 bars with slide-in cd technique.Thanx!!!!!!!!
But my downloading speed still remains the same.Browsing speed improved.
