BSNL roaming Update

I didnt go to the exchange today because i think BSNL employees are confused they dont have any idea about roaming facility

Hey James I'm from Chandigarh city but I travel frequently b/w chandigarh and Hamirpur, HP and thats where I picked up my EVDO from. I went to the local exchange here in Chandigarh, but the guy who deals in EVDO was'nt around, will try my luck again today.

Indeed the BSNL guys are confused coz one of them asked me "who told you roaming is activated, we have not received any circular yet. Once we get it, it will take 4 or 5 days to take adequate action on roaming facility"

I also got he same reply but when i asked marketing people they said they have sent the mail they might not have read it.
Just worried they dont sent the bill of Rs650

I called BSNL broadband number 1500 they are telling that BSNL have announced in the site but till now we have not implemented it may be in a week or two we will implement it

Has anyone got Roaming activated and/or working on their EVDO ? with or without the reconfiguration.

yes may be now the prl will be same for everyone & no one will have to reconfigure the prl for every city too...

What about CDMA 2000 1X? Is roaming enabled on it too?

Any Updates on Roaming ?? Has anyone got their roaming working. I really doubt BSNL offering nationwide roaming despite officially announcing it over their website.

I tried to confirm with quite a few senior officials at BSNL, none of them confirmed that roaming has been active or will be activated.

When I asked for reconfiguration of the EVDO device. They start playing "Office-Office" Guests cannot see images in the messages. this roaming thing is not actualy going to work very well,

and new users will end up paying 100 more for nothing

I got EVDO device from Salem, Tamilnadu and working with roaming enabled in Bangalore. Also when I am travelling to home circle it is working fine. I had not changed any settings.
