Hi ....m in banashankari 3rd stage, padmanabhanagar exchange is 2 or 3 kms from my place, and banashankari 3rd stage bsnl exchange s also at the same distance...but m not getting EVDO signal at all...i got my device configured for EVDO few weeks back

Hi Guys, I stay in Vidyaranyapura, the tower is around 1-2 kms radius and i do not get EVDO signal. But i am getting a very weak signal from nearby exchange. The engineer in the CSE told me that they are EVDO enabled, but doesn't know the difference between EVDO and IX signal, I had got it tested in his system, ie., below the tower and the signal was not there. So could u guys know when vidyaranyapura exchange will become EVDO enabled?

Did u get your device reconfigured in the exchange ?

Yes, i got it reconfigured by the distributor from who i purchased and it worked fine at his place which is in yeswanthpur, in triveni road where i got around 880 kbps. I tried it at prakashnagar also and it worked fine and here i got around 480 - 500 kbps since it was in basement. In vidyaranyapura, the guy in CSE plugged it in his comp and there i did not get any EVDO signal at all, but this guys claims it is EVDO enabled. And i enquired the same in Jalahalli exchange which is also closeby around 3-4 kms,there also they claim it is EVDO enabled. But no Signal from both these place.

It is dissapointing to see no Jayanagar Exchange listed. Do you have any information on when they will start? I'm staying at JP Nagar 1st phase near Indira Gandhi circle.

Somewhere in this forum, I've read a member reporting that EVDO is available in Jayanagar. And in JP Nagar, I'm not sure about EVDO, but CDMA 1x is available for sure.
