hey veagles remember me..sachuneenu here..the new update improved speed on 10.5.2...today i installed 10.5.3 update..and had to reinstall the driver..i think the speed has been stripped down a little...not sure..its been only 5 minutes..will let u know later;
anyway thanks pal...

my id's:

Product ID: 0xfffe
Vendor ID: 0x19d2

Default scripts not work. How change it ? Leopard 10.5.3

Product ID : 0x6000(Hex) =24576 (Decimal)
Vendor ID : 0x05c6(Hex) =1478 (Decimal)

and from the hexa decimal converter which he has suggested :

for your id's ...:::

Product ID: 0xfffe ; you should change 24576 in the script to 65534
Vendor ID: 0x19d2 ; you should change 1478 in the script to 6610

hopefully it should work ... if it doesnt ... wait till Veagles to return to the thread ..!

i have a evdo, but i'm in africa

i have test yet the second procedur

the install work fine in the root mac hd

but i can see the evdo in connection

which version of OS you are using ? Tiger or Leopard ?
I think the second method is not working in Tiger ( in my system atleast. )

to find your product id and vendor id , connect your ZTE into the USB and then wait for sometime and then check in the system profiler - USB slot. you should find ZTE CDMA tech there in the right side. if you click on that , it will open up all the details about the device in the bottom slot. there you can find your product id and vendor id.

I tried to config evdo by both method on my iMac with OSX 10.5.3.
1. The first method: After follwoing all instructions exactly as given...
When I click + on the left pane I dont see ZTEC option at all.

2. Second method.
I get bunch of errors like this

Plug the Modem Now..
Open Network Prefereces and Add the device using '+' at the bottom left pane..

Now I am totally stuck. Whats going wrong here. I used this EVDO on my windows laptop and it works fine.
