ok can someone tell me where in Bangalore is the EVDO card/modem available? And I want the 2.4 MBPS plan, not the 144 KBPS one. So how much will I have to pay initially? I have haerad that it is something near to Rs. 3000 for the first time and then Rs 750 per month (modem on rent).
Also, I stay in Bmanahalli (near HSR layout exchange). So will I get the required speed? Anc can I pay my bills at a CSC other than where I bought it?

I remember reading in some thread that there was coverage in bomanahalli. The card you can get from Whitefield office, thats the only office providing the cards now. You need to initially pay Rs.1000 as dep and Rs.750 pm including modem rental. On bill payment options, not sure, waiting for my first bill

Since last sunday, i am not at all getting EVDO signals at my residence, i got it before that with the CD trick, now even if i take my laptop outside my house, it does not show EVDO, what do i do? when i get closer to the tower (when in office) i get EVDO signal. Would a tower strength just drop? Can any one help me get EVDO signals at home? Thanks

Yesterday, I got EVDO signal strength for a few minutes, but could not log in due to "authentication event". Would you suggest I re-configure my device? Any other helpful hints/ideas? Thanks in advance.
U have to get ur device reconfigured before connecting to EVDO network.. If ur device is already reconfigured.. then there might be some temp problem..

I am not sure if it is available near HAL, buty I have heard some guys getting EVDO properly in Marathalli area. So hopefully youn should get it there.

A lil confused....are you saying cuz of late i have connected to 1x, i need to get it reconfigured? at office i am able to connect to evdo. do i use the pst here or go to bsnl?

I am in Bommanahalli near BTM lake.
I get a good coverage with up to 72KBps (yes, Kilo Bytes) sometimes.
Most of the times, I get 45KBps
I was getting frequent connection break and very low speed earlier. I shifted my laptop near the window in my house and the performance improved.
There is another thread on this forum about enhancing signal quality. One must follow that to get better reception.
