I am in Vidya peeta and i used to get good coverage with EVDO till last week ,but now most of the times it is CDMA1X ,any particular reason ,anybody aware ?

Whats the speed you are getting at Mathikere?

I am getting speed about 200kbps...n sometimes it shoots up to 500-600kbps quite regularly...depending on how much i download...the other day i was able to download from limewire at 70kBps..with speeds of 800kbps....but its not as lucky as always

I took EVDO on rental , yesterday. I stay in Mathikere and at night I got EVDO signal inside my room where I believe the signal strength cant be that strong. But today morning it went to just 1X. At night the speedtest results gave speeds between 150 to 280 kbps for repetitive tests.
With EVDO signal it was showing just 1 or 2 bars only.

I have bought EVDO a month back and really it is working fine...while i am staying say 19 KM away from Bangalore....near kadabagere....Magadi Road .
I suggest that BSNL is better than any other ISP....now a days...though strongly it is felt that it needs some more training for its staff regarding EVDO installations and other needy informations about it......

Even my connection goes to 1x once in a while..tat time try reconnecting n EVDO ll be back...last few days...m getting less speed also

Please register in our forum for free by clicking here to see images. confused not knowing what to do, i went ahead and got an evdo...i get 1x signal in my place and with all windows and door open and with the CD trick i am able to boost it to evdo...thanks gigacore for the trick...the connection is 90% stable and gets disconnected sometimes...need to now find an external antenna...not in the mood to make one myself...any ideas if there are any for sale which we can use?

P.S. I got it from whitefield office of BSNL...guys wanting to buy can check there...make sure you go with all docs before 1.30 PM

Since last sunday, i am not at all getting EVDO signals at my residence, i got it before that with the CD trick, now even if i take my laptop outside my house, it does not show EVDO, what do i do? when i get closer to the tower (when in office) i get EVDO signal. Would a tower strength just drop? Can any one help me get EVDO signals at home? Thanks

For your information airal distance from my residence to IIM B is 2.5 km (to IIMB mail gate). When i check with Bommanahalli exchange they told me, my area will come under IIMB exchange.
Please, provide any details of the IIMB exchange and nearest BTS tower. If any BTS tower exists in IIMB exchange near to my location, where is it and will I be able to get good signal strength?

Guys, I live very near to the HAL Airport in Bangalore. Would any of you happen to know if we receive EVDO transmission there?

I am not sure if it is available near HAL, buty I have heard some guys getting EVDO properly in Marathalli area. So hopefully youn should get it there.
