A brief intro about this site and the time line.

September 2007

I had never dreamed about opening this site or the forum. I bought the device, way back in September 2007, because of some ADSL problems in my area. I was the first person to buy the device in our area. Way back,  my device was configured for CDMA 1x and had used it till mid june 2008 and got it reconfigured to EVDO.

When I bought the device, it took me couple of days to get used to it. I faced frequent problems like disconnections and slow speeds. And eventually, I also found solution after solution to overcome the problems.

November 2007

In the month of November 2007, I wrote a review on this device and the service in my old blog, which doesn’t exists now. By the end of november 2007, the post turned into a forum thread with replies flowing in. After sometime, my blog vanished, due to some database error and I lost my post including all the comments. Luckily, I had a backup of raw text.

January 2008

So, I created a sub-domain bsnlevdo.themebin.com with a forum. And wrote a message in my blog that I’ve moved. Few commenters and visitors followed the link and started to register in the forum. The first was coolpcguy, who is a forum moderator now. Though the homepage was created with a html template, the information provided was useful to many people.

February 2008

I installed wordpress for the homepage due to the gradual increment in traffic and number of articles. And posted all those article which were in HTML template as a wordpress blog post in sequential order according to the date.

April 2008

After my pre-university exams, I noticed that I was actually running out of bandwidth in my themebin.com due to some traffic. So thought of moving this site over here to a new dedicated hosting and domain and launched BSNL EVDO CLUB.com. Even with some financial problem.

I also noticed that few people started to steal our content during this period. But I just ignored them. If you find any such posts which are copied from this site and posted in their site with no proper source and credit, just ignore them and bring it to my concern, or just comment on their site straight forward (if you really love this site and my work ;) ).

So far so good…

Ever since I moved the site, its been running smooth and the forum is doing a very good job with good, mature minded and active members. I thank all the member of my forum via this page for helping me to grow from a one single post in my blog to this one big dedicated site and forum.

I also like to thank our forum moderators for being a part of the community as a staff member. And also I would like to thank our “EVDO Pro Users” for your great help in forum for newbies. You can view the entire team over here.

Also, I would like to say that, I am not hosting this site and forum to make money or for any commercial purpose. I love to help people, that’s it. Infact, you can see that there are no ads compared to the other forums and communities. Because I don’t like to annoy the visitors and the members.
